Diagram created in Ultimate Racer 3.0 (opens new window)

  • Permanant Scalextric Sport analogue track.
  • The track covers an area of 59.78metres squared/196 ft 1inch and 5/10 squared.
  • 6 lane track 155ft long (Lanes: Green, Brown, White, Blue, Yellow, Red)
    • Up to 6 drivers can race at a time.
  • Live race results are displayed on 8 monitors all around the track.
  • Each lane has its own power supply box with digital voltage display and manual power control.
  • All handset controllers connect to a 3 pin plug.
    • Two of the pins provide power whilst the third contols breaking.
  • All lanes have earthed wiring to improve electrical connectivity and reliability.
  • All racing is done clockwise.
  • Worktop areas are available for drivers to customize and prepare their cars for racing.
  • There is an on site slot car shop available for drivers to purchase new cars, controllers and/or accessories (gears, tyres, suspension & etc).
  • For Race Management we use Scalex Race Manager v3.01.
    • All drivers will race on all lanes and against each other at least once.
    • Each driver has to complete 10 laps (60 laps in total) on all lane in the fastest time possible.
    • The winner is determined by who has the best mean average time from all the heats with the worst 2 results dropped from the calculation.
    • False starts are punished with the lane power for the offending driver(s) being cut off for 5 seconds.
    • The race controller has the power to re-run races and control the power to all lanes.
    • The hardware that works with the program was created by Richard Daniellian.
    • Lap times are measured by the slot car tripping an infra red sensor beam and it is measured to 1/100th of a second.
    • The lights, infra red sensors and lane power control hardware is designed by Richard Danielian.

How the track might look if it was real.
